Your mission

As a school librarian with us, you will be part of an engaged team that works together to promote reading enthusiasm, language development, and information literacy among our students. You are a key person in developing the library's educational role and are committed to advancing our school library.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Driving and developing the school library as an educational resource in collaboration with the school's teachers.

• Supporting students and staff in searching for, evaluating, and using information (MIK - Media and Information Literacy).

• Promoting reading and literature through activities, book clubs, and reading projects.

• Cataloging, maintaining, and developing the school's media collection based on the curriculum's goals.

• Being an active part of the school's safety and student health work.

Relevant education focused on libraries.

Experience working as a school librarian or in another similar educational role, preferably with a focus on children and youth.

High digital competence and good knowledge of media and information literacy (MIK).

An educational inspirer who is passionate about literature and reading and has a knack for engaging students.

Conditions

• Employment type: Permanent, vacation position. A probationary period applies.

• Work percentage: 60%.

• Start date: January 7, 2026.
